A few pictures I have taken recently. We haven’t been out much. Christie is finishing her Masters thesis over the next month and I am busy with my class. Plus, it has been cold and we are babies.

I recently started taking classes at Parsons new school of design. You can never learn too much. So far I am enjoying it quite a bit.

We went out to do laundry today and stumbled into a political rally. I turns out a candidate for mayor lives on our street. His name is Bill De Blasio. He was announcing his candidacy in front of his house. He seemed like an ok guy.
Anyway, it was nice to get to know one of our neighbors… Even if it was from his speech on a podium

We recently took a trip to the Met for an art exhibit. It was my first time to go. One. It is huge. Two. It has some pretty amazing stuff in it. And three… You wouldn’t want to be trapped in it alone at night… Lots of mummies.
We saw this on the way to the farmers market this weekend. Someone made a monster from a downed tree from the storms. Pretty clever.
I’m happy to report that we are still flu-less. I’m also a little afraid that I might be jinxing us just saying those words. But then again E got the shot so it will probably be just me.
We are good just bundling up and already looking forward to longer days and warm sunshine. It’s official I am not a fan of winter. At all.
Since we for back from our trip home work has been crazy and I’m still struggling with leaving work stress at work. But that’s really an ongoing personal issue and not blog fodder.
But really we have great expectations for 2013. Someone told me that 18 months is the time you really need to feel settled in and at home here. And we are almost there and I think there’s some truth to it. -c
Not sure if it’s the media or that I live in a city of 8 million people but I didn’t get a flu shot this year and I’m a little wigged out. Hand sanitizer and Airborne are my close friends this week.
